Less than 200 meters from St. Peter's Church and Vatican City, Hotel Columbus is housed in Palazzo della Rovere, a splendid 15th century building, inside which the very latest comforts have been installed in a harmonious manner. The building was frescoed by Pinturicchio and was so somptuous and beautiful that in June 1495 Charles VII of France preferred to lodge here rather than at the Vatican.
